and climate action

In today's world, sustainable development and climate action are urgent challenges facing the world. The Global Alliance for Sustainable Development Foundation (GSDAF) is committed to supporting and promoting these key issues to achieve a blueprint for a better future for humanity. Here is a detailed description of how GSDAF achieves this vision through various means:
1. Promote global cooperation and partnerships:
GSDAF promotes the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by establishing and strengthening partnerships with governments, private sectors, civil society organizations, and international institutions around the world. This cooperation not only involves the sharing of funds and resources, but also involves the exchange of knowledge, technology, and best practices. For example, GSDAF can collaborate with projects under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to jointly advance the global development agenda.
2. Support climate action and environmental projects:
GSDAF directly participates in global climate action by funding and implementing climate adaptation and mitigation projects, such as renewable energy, energy efficiency improvement, forest conservation, and ecological restoration. These projects aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance ecosystem resilience, and improve community resilience to the impacts of climate change. GSDAF also supports the National Climate Change Health Adaptation Action Plan (2024-2030) to enhance society's adaptation to climate change.
3. Promote education and awareness raising:
GSDAF invests in educational projects to raise public awareness of sustainable development and climate action. Through school education, community training, and media promotion, GSDAF is committed to cultivating the next generation's environmental awareness and social responsibility. In addition, GSDAF also supports research and reporting in related fields, such as the Global Sustainable Development Report, providing scientific basis and decision-making support for policymakers and the public.
4. Promote innovation and technological research and development:
GSDAF encourages and supports innovation and technological research and development in the field of sustainable development. Through cooperation with research institutions and enterprises, GSDAF promotes the development of clean technology, circular economy, and green finance. These innovations not only help solve environmental problems, but also create new economic growth points and social employment opportunities.
5. Advocate for policy change and institutional innovation:
GSDAF advocates for policy changes and institutional innovations that promote sustainable development globally. By participating in international conferences and policy forums, GSDAF promotes governments around the world to adopt more proactive environmental and climate policies, such as carbon pricing, green taxation, and sustainable consumption policies.
6. Strengthen community participation and capacity building:
GSDAF strengthens grassroots participation and capacity in sustainable development and climate action by supporting community projects and local initiatives. These projects include community energy management, waste reduction and recycling, as well as ecological agriculture, aimed at enhancing the community's self-development capacity and environmental management level.
Through these comprehensive approaches, GSDAF promotes sustainable development and climate action globally, making a positive contribution to the blueprint for achieving a better vision for humanity. This not only helps to enhance the influence and credibility of GSDAF, but also lays a solid foundation for building a more just, equal, and sustainable world.
Two major summits
2023 SustainableDevelopment Goals Summit
The 2023 Sustainable Development Goals Summit will be held in New York on September 18-19, 2023. This summit marks a new stage in accelerating the achievement of sustainable development goals, providing high-level political guidance for transformative and accelerated actions taken to achieve sustainable development goals before the 2030 target year. The Sustainable Development Goals Summit will follow up and comprehensively review the progress of implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. This event is the first United Nations summit focusing on sustainable development goals since the adoption of the 2030 Agenda in September 2015.
The summit, presided over by the President of the conference, marks the halfway point of the time frame for achieving the Sustainable Development Agenda by 2030. The summit responds to the multiple and intertwined impacts facing the world, and is expected to reignite people's hope, optimism, and enthusiasm for the 2030 Agenda
Climate Ambition Summit
The current climate crisis is worsening, and the Climate Ambition Summit initiated by the United Nations Secretary General aims to showcase the "pioneers and doers" leaders from governments, businesses, financial institutions, local authorities, and civil society who not only make commitments, but also bring credible actions, policies, and plans to accelerate the realization of the global economic decarbonization and climate justice required by the Secretary General's "Climate Change Acceleration Agenda".
In his closing remarks, the Secretary General stated, 'If pioneers and doers can take action, then everyone can take action.' He referred to this summit as the 'Hope Summit'
By demonstrating the possibility and feasibility of taking concrete and ambitious actions to achieve emissions reduction and climate justice, the summit points to a path forward that combines sectoral, local, national, and international plans and policies with credible and scientific goals, accelerates decarbonization, promotes climate equity and justice, achieves unprecedented coordination and cooperation, and further enhances credibility and accountability.
